The goal of life coach is not to keep you in long term talk therapy. Rather it is a short term intervention offering supportant and guidance. the focus is giving you tools and a resources and possible direction to get you started in reaching your personal goals. While there is an element of counseling and exploring emotions, life coaching encourages the client to take an active aproach in addressing the emotions and making positive steps forward.
Typically, life coaching focuses on but is not limited to:
Identifying and refining goals
Addressing negative thoughts and emotions
Developing action plans to work toward meeting your goals.
Follow -ups to keep you on track
Maintenance to ensure you are applying a positive and growth focused mindset.
